Cindy and Eileen are two professional photographers with a shared passion; the art of photography and travel. They each have independent photography studios, but have been photographing together for the pure sake of “Art” for over sixteen years. They also share the love of exploration, in particular, Travel Photography. This passion along with the zeal for educating and sharing their photographic knowledge with others led to the inception of Profundo Journeys.
Profundo Journeys offers international and local photographic workshops and classes. The destination for the international workshops are chosen for their beauty, photographic opportunities and cultural purity. Cindy and Eileen research in depth, every location and work with local guides to provide you with the best possible travel and photographic experience. On your tour, the guide for each destination will introduce you to the nuances of local culture, architecture and cuisine, and take you off the beaten path to scenic areas that most tourists never see—places that express the essence of the country and the landscape.
Whether you’re an experienced photographer or a novice with your first good camera, you will be guided at your own level and pace, and led in the direction to find your unique personal vision. Ample time is provided for instruction, but the instructors also believe the student needs time for individual exploration. Groups are limited to 8-12 travelers, insuring that everyone benefits from personal attention and instruction.
During each workshop, you will be introduced to technical and artistic tools for creating beautiful and meaningful photographs. The instructors share their knowledge of exposure, depth of field, and the importance of having a basic understanding of your camera in order to achieve the results you want. You will also learn or further expand your knowledge of composition and the essence of what makes a successful photograph. Frequent slideshows during each tour allow students to share their work and their progress.
