Profundo Journeys is the vision of Cindy Horovitz Wilson and Eileen McCarney Muldoon, combining their love of photography, travel and sharing knowledge through nurturing workshops and classes. The first Profundo Journeys travel photography workshop was in 2009 to the South of Italy. Since then, visits to Greece, Hungary & Austria, Ireland, Vietnam, Cuba (four trips) the Czech Republic, Peru and the Cinqueterre region of Italy have been the destinations. 

In 2016, co-founder, Eileen retired to pursue her own pursuits. Cindy continues to work with experienced guides and advisors and continue the established tradition of Profundo's travel photography workshops. Future destinations include Cuba, Vietnam & Cambodia, the Olympic National Park in Washington, and the nation of Serbia.

​Cindy Horovitz Wilson discovered her love of photography while an underclassman at the University of Rhode Island. Further studies took her through the Museum School in Boston, Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia where she completed her MFA studies in photography, and has worked as a professional photographer for over 25 years. Her passion for photography, travel and teaching created the first Profundo Journeys photography workshop in 2009. Since, she has traveled extensively, created local classes and workshops, and opened her photography studio dedicated to producing her fine art photographs.
