Onaway, Jefferson, NH
Our workshop begins on Sunday October 2, 2011 as you explore the grounds of the summer cottage ‘Onaway’. Onaway is in the heart of the White Mountains within view of the Presidential Range.
The house was originally part of the summer resort ‘Waumbek’, a playground for those seeking the clean air of the White Mountains. Onaway, or ‘the castle’ as its owners affectionately call it, is an architectural gem of the Victorian era; the interior is entirely wainscoted with high ceilings and tall windows. A large fieldstone fireplace adorns the parlor; look forward to many discussions about art and photography over home cooked meals and in front of a cozy fire.
We have researched and visited many potential for photographic excursions during this 5-day workshop. There might be misty sunrise vistas; and surely contemplative walks in the nearby forests with reflective lakes, waterfalls and streams, and sunsets to the west.
Cindy and Eileen will be with you in the field for individual instruction. There will be lessons on composition and photographic technique. We also have prepared thought provoking talks about how each of us sees, as well as critique of the work produced in our daily excursions.
